CHEMICAL ETCH-

is a process in which the metal is first coated with an acid resist ink leaving only the area to be etched exposed.  The material is then put through an acid bath which removes the uncovered areas of the metal.  The standard etched area is .032 depth.

SCREEN PRINTING-

is a process by which a stencil is adhered to a mesh of stretched silk and ink is forced through the silk leaving a printed image on the surface of the material.

SUBSURFACE SCREEN PRINTING-

is the same as screen printing with the image printed on the backside of transparent material so it can bew read through the material.  This secures the image so that it cannot be tampered with or touched.

METALPHOTO IMAGING-

is a process in which unsealed, light sensitive anodized aluminum is exposed to light using film as a stencil.  The material is then developed and the image is sealed into the material.

ENGRAVING-

is a process in which the inscription is cut into the material by a cabide cutting tool.  This process can also be done on the backside of transparent material and color filled.

DIGITAL PRINTING-

is a process of transferring iamges from a digital storage device such as a computer to a printed substrate by means of a device that accepts text and graphic output.  Digital Printing has steadily replaced lithography in many markets.
